BY EDGAR WALKER

As we continue with our preseason coverage on DMVelite, we are excited to release our DMVelite Preseason Baltimore All-Metro selections.

These selections proved to be difficult, as the Baltimore area appears very open in terms of headline teams and players heading into the season.

With that in mind, an “Others Considered” section was added below the Honorable Mention section to include several additional other players worth mentioning.

DMVelite Rankings: 2014 Top 50

RELATED: DMVelite 100 - Class of 2013 Rankings

The DMVelite Top 50 for the Class of 2014 represents a ranking of the 50 premier juniors (rising seniors) throughout Washington D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

This page includes the Top 50 and our "On The Radar" list of those players that earned consideration for Top 50 honors but did not quite make the cut. With the idea that this Top 50 will expand into a Top 100 in August (post-AAU), our list is comprehensive. With a considerably strong spring and summer performance, an "On The Radar" player can easily find himself in the Top 50.

DMVelite Maryland All-State Team

As we continue to wrap up the 2012-13 high school basketball season on DMVelite, we move onto our All-State selections for Maryland.

RELATED: 2013 All-DMVelite Team -- All Northern Va. Team -- All-DC Team

As a result of the DMVelite-MDHoops merger in March, these teams encompass the entire state of Maryland, not just the schools in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Only players at high schools located in the state of Maryland are eligible for All-State honors (we will be releasing All-District teams for D.C. and All-Region for NoVa this week, as well).
