2014 DMVelite All-DC Team

As we continue to wrap up the 2013-14 high school basketball season on DMVelite, we move onto our All-District selections for Washington, D.C.

Our staff would like to thank the players, coaches and fans who made this past season – our fourth year of high school coverage – a success, and we look forward to many more. In addition to this All-DC team (which features only players from schools located in the District), we'll be rolling out All-Maryland and All-Northern Virginia teams during the week.

Prospect Report: Early June Roundup

By JOSH STIRN and ERIK LARSON

Here’s a brief look at some of the players the DMVelite staff scouted this past week in summer league, AAU and workout action:

2014 The Heights 6’3 SG Isaiah Grigsby - Grigsby is a very long and wiry shooting guard who excels at getting into the lane. Against O’Connell on Saturday, he dropped 16 points and nearly led The Heights to an upset victory. His biggest problem right now is his lack of outside shot. He rarely attempts to shoot jumpers and O’Connell was able to slow him down by switching to a 2-3 zone in the second half. Grigsby will also need to get much stronger to finish in the lane at the next level, but already has a nice floater and displays great body control.

DMVelite Rankings: 2014 Top 50

RELATED: DMVelite 100 - Class of 2013 Rankings

The DMVelite Top 50 for the Class of 2014 represents a ranking of the 50 premier juniors (rising seniors) throughout Washington D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

This page includes the Top 50 and our "On The Radar" list of those players that earned consideration for Top 50 honors but did not quite make the cut. With the idea that this Top 50 will expand into a Top 100 in August (post-AAU), our list is comprehensive. With a considerably strong spring and summer performance, an "On The Radar" player can easily find himself in the Top 50.
