As we continue with our preseason coverage on DMVelite, we are excited to release our DMVelite Preseason Baltimore All-Metro selections.

These selections proved to be difficult, as the Baltimore area appears very open in terms of headline teams and players heading into the season.

With that in mind, an “Others Considered” section was added below the Honorable Mention section to include several additional other players worth mentioning.

Look out tomorrow for the release of our full All-DMVelite Watch List tomorrow.

(Players ordered alphabetically by last name)

**Please note that the players listed below are those that play for schools inside our Baltimore Metro coverage area. More specific information can be found below this article.**

Jaylen Adams, G, Mount St. Joseph, 2014
An experience starter at the BCL level, for Adams to provide a steady point guard presence and increase his scoring production for a MSJ team looking to cushion the loss of Kam Williams (Ohio State). Adams is headed to Jacksonville next season.

Phil Booth, G, Mount St. Joseph, 2014
Booth — a Villanova signee — will be counted on to do a bit of everything for the Gaels in his senior season. Arguably the area’s most constant performer, Booth tends to make a major impact on every game he plays, even when his scoring output is not prolific.

Allen Costley, F, Milford Mill, 2014
Costley was a terror in Baltimore County last season, showing the ability to defend multiple positions while filling up the score sheet and making a major impact on the glass. Costley recently signed with Towson.

John Crosby, G, Poly, 2014
Crosby returns as the leader of a Poly squad that lost considerable depth with a strong core group of seniors graduating. Regardless, the unsigned senior is one of the area’s top players heading into the season and is looking to build off a strong junior campaign.

Drew Edwards, G, Calvert Hall, 2015
After an impressive summer on the travel circuit, Edwards returns to Calvert Hall ready to establish himself as a star in the Baltimore Catholic League. While he showed periodic flashes of brilliance last year, Edwards figures to be one of the league’s stars this season.

Martin Geben, F, St. Maria Goretti, 2014
A Notre Dame signee, Geben will look to build on the dominant junior campaign that saw him voted BCL Player of the Year by the league’s coaches. After a very strong showing this summer, Geben looks poised to post even better numbers this season as the BCL’s most proven big man.

Justin Jenifer, G, Milford Mill, 2015 (PICTURED, RIGHT)
Jenifer was recently named the Offensive MVP of the DMVelite 80 and enters the season as one of the area’s most dynamic juniors. He was key in Milford Mill’s Class 3A state title run last season and put on a dazzling display in the championship game against Potomac (Md.). Look for Jenifer to continue to establish himself as one of the area’s elite guards.

Dwayne Morgan, F, St. Frances, 2014
One of the most highly-recruited players in the country, and is looking to live up to his reputation on the summer circuit in his senior high school campaign. The UNLV signee battled through injury last year and was overshadowed by the Panthers’ seniors at times. This year, however, Morgan will be the focal point of the team and should see a major rise in his production.

Danny Shand, G, New Town, 2014
Arguably the toughest player in the entire area, Shand is New Town’s leader on the floor. A tenacious defender who can also create his own offense, the senior remains unsigned.

Kamau Stokes, G, City, 2014
After playing a major part in Dunbar’s Class 1A state title run last season, Stokes elected to transfer to City, where he will headline a loaded Black Knights backcourt. Look for the senior to handle point guard duties often while also hunting for his own shot.
